In 2020, Colombia had a population of approximately 51 million people. That year, there were an estimated 19,000 people who developed TB. Among them 970 were children. Moreover, there were 6,912 missing people with TB, of which 648 were children.
In 2022, Delft Imaging partnered with Socios en Salud to implement the CAD4TB artificial intelligence software, used to automatically detect TB-related abnormalities. The project was further expanded in 2023.
In 2024, Colombia’s Fundación para la Atención Integral Ancla procured a CAD4TB to enhance tuberculosis detection and improve diagnostic capabilities in the nation. This initiative aims to support effective TB screening and treatment efforts.
