About this Webinar:
Despite hosting less than 14% of the global population, Challenging Operating Environments (COEs) account for a significant share of the TB burden. Health systems in these regions are stretched, amplifying the spread of TB and HIV.
In this session, we will explore the critical role of TB screening in COEs; regions affected by conflict, natural disasters, weak governance, and mass displacement. Our partners will discuss how new technologies like CAD4TB and ultraportable X-ray systems help strengthen healthcare services by overcoming these barriers.
Our keynote speakers:
- “Active Case Finding of Tuberculosis in Key Populations and High-risk Groups in Dominican Republic” by Dr. Clara De la Cruz, Technical Coordinator and Medical Doctor, NTP Dominican Republic.
- “Active Tuberculosis Case finding in Burkina Faso: Contribution of Portable Digital X-ray” by Dr. Saidou Gnanou, Medical Specialist in Public Health, NTP Burkina Faso.
Simultaneous interpretation is available for our Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish-speaking audience. You can watch the full playlist here.
