In 2020, Gabon had a total population of approximately 2.2 million people. In that year, 12,000 estimated people developed TB. Among them, 1,600 were children. Furthermore, there were 10,926 missing people with TB, of which 1,546 were children.
In 2023, Delft Imaging provided a unit of the CAD4TB artificial intelligence software (used to detect TB-related abnormalities on chest X-rays) to the Ministry of Health in Gabon.
