In 2023, Gabon reported an estimated 13,000 tuberculosis (TB) cases and 3,500 related deaths. While TB mortality decreased slightly from the previous year, incidence continued to rise, increasing by 8% compared to 2022. An estimated 6,352 individuals remained undiagnosed or unreported, indicating continued challenges in case detection.
We supported national screening efforts in 2023 by providing the Ministry of Health with a CAD4TB.
