In 2020, the population of Guinea totalled approximately 13 million people. That same year, there were an estimated 23,000 people who developed TB. Among them, 2,300 were children. Moreover, there were 7,388 missing people with TB (of which 1355 were children).
In 2022, Delft Imaging delivered one EasyDR multi-functional X-ray system to Guinea, with the CAD4TB artificial intelligence software to automatically detect TB-related abnormalities on a chest X-ray. The EasyDR X-ray system came with an X-ray table, printer, relevant installation, training and maintenance services.
In 2023, the installed base in Guinea was expanded with a OneStopTB clinic, fitted with an EasyDR X-ray system and hosted with a Mercedes-Benz Atego Truck (4×4). The mobile clinic also came with the Cad4TB software and a GeneXpert machine. The project included transportation, installation, training and maintenance services.
