In 2023, approximately 7,800 people in Guinea-Bissau developed TB, marking a slight increase from the previous year. TB-related deaths rose to 2,600, up 7% from 2022, while 5,148 individuals remained undiagnosed or unreported. Drug-resistant TB and TB/HIV coinfections also posed significant challenges, with 160 and 2,400 cases reported, respectively. The country continues to face pressure to strengthen diagnostic services and reduce detection gaps.
To support these efforts, we delivered 3 Delft Light in 2022 to CECOME (Central de Compras de Medicamentos Essenciais). Each system was equipped with CAD4TB.
