”Eritrea joins forces with Dutch AI-company to combat TB
The Eritrea Ministry of Health gives high priority to the elimination of deadly diseases, but the local infrastructure is largely underdeveloped and internet is scarcely available. CAD4TB, is a software programme that analyses digital chest X-rays. It has been developed by Dutch company Thirona and Delft Imaging. Guido Geerts, CEO said: ”In Eritrea, only 1% of the population has acces to the internet, radiologists are scarce and large parts of the country are extremely difficult to reach. The big advantage of CAD4TB is the option to use it completely offline, so we can professionally screen people even in the most remote areas.“
