Role
We are seeking a detail oriented, well organized inventory coordinator with a can-do mentality. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Delft’s inventory management for products, supplies and materials by following the right processes and procedures. You will support the logistics coordinator and logistics manager where needed with planning and coordinating transportation of goods by various modes (road, air, sea)
Taking ownership comes naturally to you and you have a track record of successful projects. You will ultimately be responsible for maintaining the company’s standard of inventory management with the utmost attention to safety and quality. Furthermore, you will closely collaborate with different departments, such as finance, assembly and product development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory management: monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, manage internal logistics and maintain accurate records in SAP Business One
- Coordinate incoming shipments and outbound deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Physical handling of stock items, from stocking in, preparation for production/assembly to delivery to freight forwarders, including packaging.
- Following and completing SAP administration to ensure stock levels are update to date, physically and administratively
- Prepare draft shipping documents and forms for projects and services to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures
- Monitoring shipments in transit and addressing any disruptions related to stock and purchasing/shipping and transportation.
Educational background & skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in logistics, supply chain and/or stock management
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in the field of logistics or supply chain
- Fluency in English in writing and speaking is a must (Dutch is a plus)
- Experience with SAP Business One, Excel and Word is a must
- Experience with warehouse and stock management is a must
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently, but also comfortable working in a small team
