Role
We are seeking a detail oriented, well organized logistics coordinator with a can-do mentality. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of logistics-related activities and support strategy execution. Additionally, you will ensure proper documentation for international shipments while staying up to date on international regulations and trade-laws. Taking ownership comes naturally to you and you have a track record of successful projects. You will ultimately be responsible for maintaining the company’s standard of delivering projects with the utmost attention to safety and quality. Furthermore, you will closely collaborate with different departments, such as project management, sales and product development.
Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating transportation of goods by various modes (road, air, sea).
- Selecting carriers and negotiating transportation rates and managing relationships with vendors and third-party logistics providers.
- Prepare documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures (PVoC, Soncap, Coo, CoC, IMA/EXA etc).
- Monitoring shipments in transit and addressing any disruptions.
- Review paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly (AWB, B/L, POD, FCR, CMR, etc.).
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and trade laws in different regions.
- Overall support for the entire logistics team in general and back up for the inventory coordinator and logistics manager in specific.
Educational background & skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in logistics, supply chain and/or stock management
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in the field of logistics or supply chain
- Fluency in English and Dutch in writing and speaking is a must
- Experience with SAP Business One, Excel and Word is a must
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- We require an individual who can be proactive and self-directed, who can prioritize tasks effectively, work independently, and demonstrate complete ownership and accountability for deliverables
