In Mali, tuberculosis continues to place a heavy burden on the healthcare system, with an estimated 11,000 people affected in 2023. Co-infection with HIV, recorded in over 750 cases, adds further strain to diagnosis and treatment efforts. While progress has been made, many still lack access to timely screening and care, underscoring the urgency for scalable diagnostic solutions.
In 2021, the nation’s Ministry of Health deployed 2 Delft Light, each equipped with CAD4TB, to support the screening and triage of TB in remote areas of Mali.
