In 2015, Mali reported a TB incidence of 57 per 100,000 population. Since then, the incidence has been rapidly declining, with 21 per 100,000 people in 2021.
In 2021, Delft Imaging had the opportunity to deliver two Delft Light portable backpack X-ray systems to Mali to support the screening and triage of TB in remote areas of Mali. Each of the Delft Light X-ray systems included the CAD4TB artificial intelligence software, used for the automated detection of TB-related abnormalities on chest X-rays. The project included training, installation and maintenance services.
