Tuberculosis remains a pressing concern in Nicaragua. In 2023, 2,900 people were estimated to have developed the disease, and 190 lives were lost to it. An equal number were co-infected with HIV, underlining the need for integrated, accessible screening.
To support national screening efforts, 2 Delft Light with CAD4TB were procured by Centro De Insumos Para La Salud in 2024 through the Stop TB Partnership and UNOPS. In 2025, they deployed another 5 CAD4TB. These solutions are now in place to help health teams detect TB earlier and reach more people, particularly in areas where resources are limited.
