In South Asia, Sri Lanka is confronting a notable TB burden. In 2022, an estimated 10,000 people developed TB, including over 600 children under the age of 15. Due to gaps in healthcare access and diagnostics, around 8,000 people with TB went undiagnosed, and it is estimated that nearly 400 people died from the disease.
In 2024, Sri Lanka procured three CompassDR and three CAD4TB to strengthen the nation’s tuberculosis screening and diagnostic capabilities.
